Abstract :
This paper tries to provide a comprehensive and explicit introduction of an algorithm to estimate LTI systems with time delay. The presentation extends a simple continuous-time estimator preserving simplicity and improving usability. The paper closes with directions for further enhancement of the algorithm that includes the use of rational approximations of delay and operation in discrete time.
