Abstract :
This paper presents the results when applying a Linguistic Equation Controller to maintain the temperature in a parabolic trough solar collector field which supply energy to a Multi-Effect Desalination Plant. The performance of the control scheme and the problems encountered are dealt with and illustrated by plant results. The plant is described, the control problem is presented, the Linguistic Equation methodology is explained, and finally some results obtained when applying this controller in different operating points are presented showing the effectiveness of the approach.
