Abstract
This paper presents the experimental results of the modelling, identification and control of an air conditioning system. The process has been decomposed in two subsystems connected in series with a natural feedback. It has been identified by the Model based method using Marquardt´s algorithm. The Control method is a particular two degree of freedom. The first degree (controller) is based on the well known IMC approach whereas the second degree, referred here to as the saturation monitoring scheme has been designed using the H∞ control approach.
