Abstract
This paper considers different approaches to anti-windup compensation and analyses the stability of the closed-loop system for the case of saturating actuators. The the so-called model-based anti-windup scheme is used to minimise the H∞ norm of the transfer function around the nonlinearity. The saturation element is treated as a sector nonlinearity and the Small Gain Theorem is used to prove stability.
