Abstract
Data from Magnetic Resonance Angiography carries information about the structure of blood vessels in the human brain. Thanks to proper segmentation methods, this information can be used in diagnosis. However, the correct assessment of these algorithms is troublesome. We have proposed a new concept of validating segmentation results. The idea is to create an MRA Simulator. The output images can then be compared with the pattern, which would not be possible using real data. This paper explains how various physical phenomena were modeled to simulate blood flow. The proper assortment of these parameters will be used to obtain images similar to those that come from the Time of Flight method.
