Abstract :
The article deals with the thermal optimization of an electronic device board containing the video-and-sound interface for an electronic travel aid (ETA) for assisting the blind in independent mobility. Because the device would be worn as a pair of eyeglasses, the heat should cause as little discomfort to the wearer as possible. In order to optimize the placement of the electronics components on the denned PCB, a special evolutionary, two-step calculation algorithm was developed by the authors.
