Abstract
The aim of the presented work was the design and realization of a mechatronic setup for measurements of dynamical properties of electronic gyroscopes. A motivation for the project was a need for identification of MEMS gyroscope parameters, not disclosed in their data sheets. The built setup is capable of producing controlled, angular excitations, necessary for measuring dynamical properties of MEMS gyroscopes. It registers gyroscope response synchronized with the excitation. An example of identification of gyroscope parameters is also presented. Results of the measurements are used to calibrate a currently developed local navigation system for visually impaired pedestrians.
