Abstract :
In this paper we describe the analysis and design of a reconfigurable planar antenna that can operate in the ISM band of 2400 MHz and in the mobile GSM telephony band of 1850 MHz, that is also in accordance to required parameters to be used for Cognitive Radio applications. The antenna was designed as a plane square spiral using microstrip technology and the reconfigurability was made with an inductor.
