  • Abstract
As in recent days usage of internet is increasing day by day, by keeping this into consideration there is need of robust security services and schemes. Old authenticating schemes authenticate one user at a time. In wireless networks risk of alteration of data gets increases. To avoid this, we have to authenticate users which are valid to receive the data. Here problem arrives of multiple users at a time. So in group authentication we authenticate multiple users at a time. Group authentication gives facility to verify all users in a group at a time. A (t,m,n)GAS scheme provides group authentication schemes authenticate users in group. This is for group oriented applications. If at a time multiple users are there in group who wants to communicate, authenticating them in a group will help to reduce time factor. In this survey, we focus on authenticating a validate user by applying various schemes. Here we discussed schemes in detail, schemes of authentication. Based on this survey, we will be able to know flaws in recent schemes and solutions to remove those flaws.
