New industrial electrical safe work practices

This paper shares electrical work practices and recommends additional training and qualifications for industrial electrical workers. It introduces new work methods to safely work with special electrical hazards for power electronics equipment and underground electrical distribution equipment. The paper will be of most interest to industry, outdoor electrical construction workers, manufacturers, and other institutions where a variety of this type of equipment exists. These work methods have recently been placed in practice at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) in Golden CO.
