Abstract :
Document, document, document!! These are important words when it comes to demonstrating due diligence to the OSHA Act & Standards in the USA and OH&S Regulations in Canada. Your overall Occupational Health & Safety Management System [1] [2] should include a document or multiple documents that would or may require the Qualified Electrical Worker performing energized electrical work tasks to document an overall hazard identification and risk assessment procedure for a specifically assigned energized electrical work task. But does it include the hazards of arc flash and shock? Does it allow for helping the Qualified Electrical Worker to identify electrical hazard specific preventive and protective control measures that are applied to eliminate or reduce risk of exposure to arc flash and shock?
