Abstract :
In today´s real world scenario, wherever there is a system comprising of multiple sub-systems which interact with one another closely such that the results of each of them are dependent on one another, the synchronization of each of these sub-systems with respect to the other and with the centre point (if any) becomes the most critical requirement. This requirement can be satisfied by providing internal or external synchronization depending upon the application at hand. One of the methods of providing external synchronization would be with the help of GPS. Global Positioning System (GPS) is a multiple usage device which gives information that includes latitude, longitude, altitude and time. In this paper, one of the global applications of GPS is presented and the same is used for system development. Here, a LabVIEW based module has been designed which depicts the integration and interfacing with the GPS receiver.
