Abstract
The performance of video on demand system is largely depended on the efficient finding, data storage with minimum hop count from the web cache proxy server. Increasing the search hop count towards the storage-data server, also increases delay and high chance of packet drop and link failure during the video data stream transmission. In this work, we present a novel approach to this challenging issue. Propose Search for Query Algorithm at the application server of distributed data storage nodes in the video on demand system is to minimize the hop counts. The Simulation results in contrast with the real-life scenario, hence the hop count is reduced for searching the content storage in video on demand system.
