Abstract
The Cooperative Multiple Input Multiple Output (CMIMO) is an important segment of 4G communications. The working of a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) set-up in a cooperative manner becomes crucial primarily due to the delays involved among different nodes of the network. Hence minimization of delay is one of the primary concerns of CMIMO. This paper presents an analytical model of CMIMO to calculate the group delay and phase delay between nodes in real time for a severely faded non-linear non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation environment. This model can effectively be used for designing a CMIMO network with reduced delay. The theoretical basis of delay analysis proves the simplicity and accuracy of the proposed technique.
