  • Abstract
In recent years, the online large-scale services such as transport service system has massively expanded and reached a large number of users. However, while the service providers are striving to best-utilize and efficiently organize their resources, they face a crucial challenge of users´ demands which, at many times, contradict the resource utilization. Thus, this paper extends the previous work and proposes Autonomous Push-Pull Coordination Technology to Achieve Reconciling Resource Utilization in Heterogeneous Communities Environment. In the coordination technology that is based on autonomous community approach, a subsystem that is surplus in resources autonomously forms a push community to distribute the surplus resources, and a subsystem that lacks in resources autonomously forms a pull community to request for extra resources. A trade off between resource provision timeliness and resource allocation effectiveness leads to a dynamic decision on the community size and the number of allocated resources. In addition, the coordination within and among heterogeneous communities adopt the advantage of community in order to simultaneously move the resources in one step. The goal of this technology is to improve service response time while maintaining high resource allocation efficiency. The results on various numbers of requesting users show that the performance of the proposed technology is better than conventional technologies when requesting user rate is high.
