Abstract :
The study of the Latera Geothermal Power Plant is presented. The plant exploits a geothermal fluid, consisting of a mixture of water and carbon dioxide, by means of an innovative process, thus giving rise to a number of issues. The study is made up by four parts: definition of the simulator structure; actual implementation of the simulator, with considerable component-modelling effort; use of the simulator for static and dynamic analysis and for control system design and tuning; use of the simulator to test the compliance to the operating limits and to find the most efficient operating conditions.
