Abstract :
This contribution presents some algorithms for the analysis of nonlinear and implicit control systems, also called DAE systems. Based on an algebraic approach we convert the DAE system to a canonical form which does not, contain hidden constraints any more. But each integral curve of the original system is a solution of the canonical form, too. Further, the investigations of the accessibility and observability problems lead to results and algorithms similar to those for explicit systems. All the necessary calculations can be done by using a symbolic software package which is available via Internet.
