            Abstract :
Curve-dependent coach body tilt control allows increased speed in the curves of existing lines. The concept presented is location-dependent and is based on an à-priory-knowledge of the line, the shape of the curve, and the desired speed-diagram. It works with a comfort-optimal tilt stategy, calculated in advance, and uses the exact car location, obtained by a localization platform. The new tilting concept gives much better results than the usually used sensor-based, location-independent controllers. Simulation results for an existing railway connection demonstrate the possible improvements.
