Abstract :
This paper concerns the control of a solar power plant using a model base predictive controller with time scaling. There are certain cases, as in this work, where the main plant disturbances are accessible and it is of great interest to find transformations that result in a more linear system, and thus with a dynamic behavior independent of the operating point. Also, for a type of plants, such as rolling mills, conveyor belts or fluids in pipes can be transformed with time scaling. In this case the key-variable will be the amount of fluid that crosses the pipe section instead of the amount of time.
