Abstract :
Practical Laguerre and Kautz shift induced approximations of delay systems are considered. Lower and upper H1 and H2/L2 error bounds are discussed. Furthermore, simple exact asymptotic H error formulas are provided. The Laguerre formula and the Kautz-Padé formula provide surprisingly good finite-dimensional models of delay systems in a transparent manner.
