Abstract :
IPv6 extension headers allow for the extension of the IPv6 protocol and provides support for some core functionality such as IPv6 fragmentation. This paper is about the issues surrounding IPv6 Extension Headers and their use on the public Internet. More specifically, it summarize the issues associated with IPv6 EHs (performance, security, etc). To illustrate support of IPv6 EHs in the real world. Summarizes the implications of the filtering at the intermediately nodes.
