Abstract :
A comparative analysis of Power Vs distance has been presented over Free Space Optics link at 650 nm. A prototype model has been designed which uses light instead of Radio Frequency signal. Optical signal at transmitter has been obtained from a LASER torch at 650n m. Transmission distance achieved is 40 metres with less than 5 mW as input power. An increase of approx. 57% in distance using 2 mW input transmitter power has been achieved through proposed model in comparison to previous system.
