Abstract :
In this work, we are designing a capacitance scaling based Unicode Reader for Gurmukhi Punjabi (Pa). 5pF, 25pF, 50pF, and 100pF output loads were taken in order to verify our design. The output for any given input value (character) will specify: if the input is Gurmukhi Unicode or not; and if yes, then which of three categories of character does it belong to. Working with a counter, for a given text, the design can count the number of vowels, consonants and digit in a given text. With variation in frequency, there is no significant change in junction temperature and leakage power that increases reliability of this design. Significant decreases in IO power with Capacitance scaling at around 74%, 58% and 38.67% were observed by scaling down capacitance from 100pF to 5pf, 25pF and 50pF respectively on device operating frequency of 1GHz.
