Abstract :
End-to-end delay is an important QoS parameter in wireless sensor networks. The term end-to-end delay is the total amount of time taken for transmission of data to reach the destination. The parameter which causes end-to-end time delay in the wireless sensor network includes length of the path i.e. the number of repeaters and the congestion along the route. In this paper, main focus is end-to-end time delay to be minimal. This is done with the help of optimization of both link layer scheduling and routing. Minimal interference routing and a transmission schedule scheme presented in paper minimizes end-to-end delay along a provided route. This scheme includes interference modeling and integer linear programming in multi-hop wireless network with omnidirectional antenna and a conflict free transmission is established. Simulation takes place in MATLAB and results are obtained, which shows that the new technique performs better than the previous routing and scheduling techniques.
