  • Abstract
Software metrics have been presented as instruments, not only to guide developers in their coding tasks, but also to obtain high-level quality indicators for entire software systems. Such system-level indicators are intended to enable meaningful comparisons among systems or to serve as triggers for a through analysis. This paper presents an approach of Ranking Software Engineering metrics by Fuzzy Based Matrix Methodology and comparing it with other traditional ranking approaches. A Set of comparison criteria have been developed to rank various Software Engineering metrics. Ranks have been deduced using the state of Art Knowledge in the field of software Engineering. A multiple attribute decision making methodology has been developed. Approximation method has been used. Ranking of software engineering metrics have been implemented in terms of the significance of their impact on software reliability. Final results are shown in terms of ranking of various software reliability growth models in ascending/descending order.
