Abstract :
This paper is about the adverse effect of wind power on the voltage stability of the existing power system. To integrate successfully a wind power into existing power systems, a wind turbine must behave like an existing synchronous generator to take its place. The majority of the wind turbines is based on one or other type of induction generator, which is having no or limited voltage control capability. Due to this limitation, the voltage stability is likely to get affected. In this it is explained using Nodal Analysis. Also discussed the probable solutions reported in literatures to improve the voltage stability.
