Abstract :
Often designs of modern computing systems shall consider energy consumption problems. One possible solution of these problems was found in self-timed design approach. A self-timed circuit is not bound to specific external and internal conditions this make a design very adaptive to energy control. Performance and energy consumption mostly depends on value of supply voltage. A self-timed circuit can operate under ultra-low-supply-voltage therefore, it take very important part in Green computing. Obviously, the same problems appear in high reliable designs of digital devices especially in computing systems for critical application fields such as aerospace microelectronics. Advanced approach to design of energy-aware & naturally reliable computing is described and simulation results are presented.
