Abstract :
Currently nanomaterials are being applied in many different areas such as electronics, healthcare and advanced materials and the number of applications is expected to further increase. Especially in the case of nanoparticles intended for medical use in humans, it is of outmost importance that, in parallel with the development of nanoparticles, efforts are placed on the definition of nanomaterials and their characteristic properties as well as on the standardization of specific analysis methods. This standardization is expected to provide a significant impact on all areas involving magnetic nanoparticles, with Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) being one important example of their biomedical applications.
