Abstract
In this paper, magnetic nanoparticle (MNp) conjugates with various biologically active materials (including oncolytic RNA model oligonucleotides, photosensitizer chlorin E6 and a series of fluorescent dyes) suited for magnetic delivery of therapeutic agents are studied. Results shows that biomolecules of interest interacted with amine-functionalized MNp to give materials with the active compound electrostatically immobilized on the MNp surface. The introduction of the dye molecules allowed to monitor the formation of the conjugates via optical spectroscopy as well as to provide the probability of MRI contrast enhancement and optical imaging properties of the resulting materials.
