Abstract :
Adaptive refinement procedures require local error estimators to identify regions of the problem domain where cells should be reduced in size (h-refinement) or the representation order increased (p-refinement). Several error estimators are evaluated for use with the electric field integral equation (EFIE) and Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions. These estimators appear to correctly identify regions of high error and thus may be suitable for use in adaptive refinement approaches for conducting targets.
