Abstract :
In this paper, a plasmonic coupler constructed by placing air-silicon-air waveguide at the end of silver-air-silver (MDM) plasmonic waveguide is investigated by finite element frequency domain method (FEFD). The maximum transmission is found at a gap width of 40 nm and equals 68%. The results obtained are compared with FDFD results.
