Abstract :
A receding horizon controller is proposed as a means to personalize anemia management in hemodialysis patients. The proposed method is an optimization-based control approach in which a radial basis function (RBF) method is used to design a receding horizon strategy for optimal dosing of anemia drug, erythropoietin (EPO). The in silico validation of the method demonstrates its efficiency when compared to a standard protocol-based EPO dosing.
