            Abstract :
Postural control biomechanical reaction to short external perturbations (~1mm) was studied in blindfolded subjects while stood on a platform that was given a short anterior perturbation presented in one of 2 sequential 4s intervals (2-Alternative-Forced-Choice) for a set of 30 trials. Head acceleration in the anterior-posterior direction (AP) was considered as only biomechanical response to the perturbations. Our result revealed that postural control system response to external stimulus by producing a ringing signal in the head that could imply more vestibular system input, possibly from the otoliths.
