Abstract :
Advances in microfabrication have generated new interest in electrical impedance biosensors. These sensors allow observations to be made remotely and continuously in a form that is easily processed by a computer. However determining the key frequency/impedance relationship of such a sensor requires specialized and costly hardware. Here we present MATLAB scripts able to determine the frequency/impedance characteristic of an impedimetric sensor just using a laptop. Salt concentration was quantified via this MATLAB-based approach.
