Abstract :
An inset fed microstrip square patch antenna operating at 2.4GHz designed and its performance analysis is presented. The proposed antenna is capable of receiving and transmitting signals at its operating range. Agilent´s ADS EDA tool is used for design and analysis of the antenna. The return loss, magnetic and electric field distribution, 3D radiation pattern, VSWR has been estimated. The simulated results of active antennas show that the designed antennas have proper radiation characteristics at its desired operation frequency. The gain of proposed antenna is 4.65dB and it is capable of radiating signals with 68.65% efficiency with directivity of 6.285dB. The return loss is -36.57dB.
