Abstract :
We developed a low-cost down converter based on the harmonic mixer applicable to IEEE802.11ad 60 GHz band test solutions. We confirmed the performance by absolute power calibration with a power sensor and phase calibration with a comb generator on a new generation Vector Network Analyzer. In this report, we describe the details of a low-cost down converter with 5% error vector magnitude by a magnitude and phase compensation technique successfully. Therefore, it would be able to provide a very low-cost test solution with the down converter and a digital oscilloscope.
