  • Abstract
    In this paper, we study the channel modeling for 145MHz VHF communication band using Wireless InSite electromagnetic (EM) propagation simulation software which is a product of RemCom Inc. The large-scale statistics of the channel (path loss, path loss exponent, channel impulse response, coherence bandwidth, etc.) are obtained. Inozu Valley of Beypazari District, Ankara is selected as the measurement environment. The measurement are done at the points which are selected alongside the path on the valley with 500m separation. The obtained statistics are used during the design of the military communications systems which operate at this frequency band.
