  • Abstract
Medical innovations in linking genetic information and diseases made a revolution in predicting hereditary diseases and preventive medicine. We can exploit these advancements to assess a person´s risk factors for any given diseases that are associated with the genetic defects. Families have many common factors such as gene, lifestyle, the environment and ethnic background. These common factors can be related to some medical conditions that run in the family. We can use genetic information, family medical history, medical reports, and lab reports to predict the risk of getting diseases. In this paper, we present an algorithm to predict hereditary cancer by combining the medical and family history information. We have chosen breast cancer for the first prototype design as it is one of the leading causes of cancer death in women.
