  • Abstract
Increased energy requirement results in raising the voltage and the load of power lines. This involves increasing the values of electric and magnetic field strength produced by the power lines and also increasing their influences on living organisms. The paper presents the method of calculating the electric field and the magnetic field produced by an overhead electric line with the frequency 50Hz. In order to estimate the influence of these fields on a human body sitting under overhead power line, the induced current is calculated. The calculation is made by considering the human body as a conductor cylinder.
