Abstract :
In this paper, the details of the linear chirped femtosecond laser pulse used for timing synchronization when transferring in single mode fiber (SMF) and dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) are analyzed based on a numerical simulation. The broadening of the 416fs laser pulse used for timing synchronization by 9.7m DCF and then the compression by 33m SMF can be observed in the experiment. Based on the simulation and experiment, a design of the optical fiber transmission link which is made up of SMF and DCF in the femtosecond-precision fiber-optic timing synchronization system is introduced.
