Abstract :
The novel technique proposed in this paper is a further enhancement of the Extended Ward Equivalent (EWE) model that does not require any real time data from the external control areas. The proposed technique will enhance LV network equivalent models in order to improve the accuracy of GB power system operational planning. The paper also presents the fault level results as related to the novel network modelling of a specific part of the GB power system in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the approach.
