Abstract :
In the paper is proposed a modified method of faults estimation for linear dynamic systems. An enhanced algorithm using H∞ approach is provided to verify stability of the adaptive observer for fault diagnosis and to define its parameter design condition, giving a modified adaptive fault estimation algorithm with improved performance of fault estimation. Using the on-line obtained fault information, the observer-based fault tolerant controller is designed reflecting the separation principle, which stabilizes the closed-loop system by compensating a loss of the actuator effectiveness.
