Abstract :
In this paper we present an efficient method of peak- to-average power ratio (PAPR) minimization in the space-time block coded (STBC) MIMO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission. The developed system is based on 802.11p standard designed for the communication between vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure. The presented algorithm belongs to the family of selective mapping (SLM) methods. Since SLM algorithms require that side information is transmitted to the receiver, in the proposed solution pilot tones are used for this purpose.
