Abstract :
In this paper, we investigated the nonlinear property of silver nanorods and nanotubes. We discussed about the impact of refractive index of core dielectric on the second and third harmonic conversion efficiencies. The nonlinear response of free electron of metal, modeled by hydrodynamic theory, combine with third order nonlinearity of dielectric is simulated by the two dimensional finite difference time domain (2D-FDTD) method.
