Abstract :
Article represents results of simulation of ultrawide band (UWB) pulse decomposition in a new device for power network protection - asymmetrical modal filter (MF). Simulation is done for different boundary conditions of the MF. Obtained results showed that MF without resistors can provide 40% better UWB pulse attenuation.
