  • Abstract
In this paper, the bifurcation phenomena of a system of two parallel-connected dc/dc buck converters with control based on interleave technology is investigated. Two approaches are used in order to find possible periodic operations of the converter: using time-domain simulation and via solving a system of feedback equations, which is new to multi-phase converters. The results are presented in form of bifurcation diagrams together with the characteristic multipliers of the system, which dean as a stability criteria of the corresponding operation mode. Also, influence on output current ripple factor is provided. It is shown that there may simultaneously exist several stable operation modes and that conventional methods have less capability compared to the method applied in this paper. Throughout the whole paper, a comparison with the single converter is held.
