Abstract :
The paper describes the aging process of electrical equipment polyethylene insulation. The proposed predictive relay protection is considered. It´s intended to determine residual life and prebreakdown condition of insulation. The purpose of predictive relay protection is an automatic prediction of electrical equipment insulation breakdown. Using predictive relay protection will allow avoiding no-current conditions in electrical equipment, which connected with insulation breakdown. This paper presents digital device of insulation temperature measuring. This device is a part of predictive relay protection. The block diagram of the device and computer model of temperature meter is developed.
