  • Abstract
    This paper is connected with development of reliable design of SF6 switchgear with combined disconnector - earthing switch with increased switching performance for rated 1600 A rated bus - transfer current switching test according to IEC - 62271-102 standard. A special attention was derived to arc duration control according to number of performed tests. The paper describes stages of innovative technique of design, simulation, current interruption estimation process with experimental results processing. The article under considerations presents fundamental investigation with insulating capability and switching performance estimations with mathematical prognostic functions in the form of approximation.
