Abstract :
This paper is connected with research of switching performance during shunt reactor current test. The article contains the data obtained from switching tests of SF6 circuit breakers puffer family. The data array was further processed in admissible form and gives the knowledge basis for overvoltage estimation. The purpose of this article is to describe chopping current phenomena and overvoltage evaluation.
