Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Networks consist of small nodes with sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities. Routing in WSNs is a challenging task due to innate characteristics that distinguish these networks from other wireless networks like mobile ad hoc networks and cellular networks. Many routing protocols have been designed for WSN´s where energy is always an essential issue. In this paper, we will discuss about the pervasive flooding and gossiping routing protocols with reactive algorithms. We will do comparative analysis amid Source Initiated Reactive (SIR) and Source Initiated Dissemination (SID) algorithms in event-driven temporal correlation using parameters like Packet Delivery Ratio, alive sensor nodes and energy consumed. The comparison results show that SIR for correlated event detection outperforms SID by 133% for PDR, 40% for energy consumed and 135% for alive sensor nodes.
